About Nicole

Hello, I am Nicole Hnicole_hopkinsopkins. I have been working with kids and families for 20 years and have been providing professional counseling services to children, adolescents, and families since 2006. I am passionate about helping my clients navigate through life’s transitions and challenges. I have specialized experience working with clients and families who are transitioning home from therapeutic programs. I believe in strengths based, person centered treatment and I place a strong focus on building a therapeutic relationship and alliance. I partner with my clients and empower them to discover insights, build on strengths, and develop strategies and skills that will enable them to actively engage in healthy, productive lives.

I am a native of Atlanta and am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia and in North Carolina as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor. I received my Master of Education in Family Counseling at The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA and completed my undergraduate degree at Mercer University in Macon, GA. In addition to my private practice, I am also a counselor at Brandon Hall School in Atlanta, GA.

When I’m not working, I am an avid reader and traveler. I also love spending time with my family and friends, especially my amazing niece and nephews. I keep myself balanced by practicing yoga, jogging, and laughing as much as possible!
